Education: Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts degree in Trumpet Performance from Colorado State University.
Performance Experience: Mark has performed professionally in many places around the United States, as well as Europe and Canada. His experience includes playing with groups in a wide variety of genres (symphony orchestras, rock bands, jazz big bands and combos, salsa, dixieland, etc.).
Teaching Experience: Mark has been teaching music in a wide variety of ways for well over twenty years. Many of his private students have successfully auditioned for honor bands. He has coached and tutored musicians in local elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. He has also taught college-level courses and ensembles (private lessons, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Music Appreciation, Brass Methods, Music Business) at Colorado State University and/or Front Range Community College.
Teaching Philosophy: My job is to help you become the best musician you can be, and to have fun while doing so!

Get to know Mark Manges

 Mark is an active musician and teacher in the northern Colorado area. He grew up in Fort Collins, CO, and attended Lincoln Jr. High and Poudre High School. He currently teaches private lessons on all brass instruments, as well as coaching young musicians at Fort Collins High School and Boltz and Webber Middle Schools. He currently directs the Colorado Swing Big Band, and performs with the Fort Collins Wind Symphony, Big Thompson Brass Quintet, Tuba Gumbo (jazz), and others.
