Education: Classical Guitar studies from Towson State University
Performance Experience: Mark has over 35 years of experience. His most recent works are as follows: Cosmic Dust Devils played in shows all over Texas and most notably as one of the headliners for Kerrville Folk Festival 2000-2006.
Director and guitarist for Angela Peterson who appeared with Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich, and Willie Nelson 2006-2009. Director and lead guitarist for Charlie Robison 2010-2016. Mötley Crüe tribute band 2020-Present. Van Halen tribute band 2021-Present.
Teaching Experience: Guitar Instructor - Musicland 1986-1988.
Guitar/Bass Instructor - National Guitar Workshop 2000-2003. Guitar/Bass Instructor - Brook Mays Music 1999-2007. Guitar/Bass/Banjo/Mandolin/Ukulele Instructor - Guitar Center 2010-2014.
Teaching Philosophy: Mark teaches in a variety of musical styles and techniques so that he can assist any student to achieve their specific needs and wants.
Get to know Mark Tokach
Mark has been teaching all styles of music on guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo and ukulele for almost 40 years. Students can learn to read and write music, music theory, improvisation skills, or just learn their favorite songs. He is accepting students from beginner to advanced levels. Mark has years of experience from his time touring and directing many artists internationally since 1988 ---most notably The Boxtops and Charlie Robison. He also placed 3rd in auditions for Ozzy Osbourne in 1995. He still performs with bands around Texas today.
