      Get to know Martha Cargo

      Flutist Martha Cargo (she/her) is committed to improvisatory and contemporary music, having spent over a decade in New York City. She attended Oberlin Conservatory (BM), where she studied with Michel Debost; SUNY Purchase (MM); and Manhattan School of Music, where she obtained a Masters in Contemporary Performance, studying with Tara Helen O’Connor. She relocated to the Baltimore area in 2023 and has taught piano, voice and flute. Martha currently works in the behavioral health field in Baltimore County; is an illusioneer with the American Immersion Theater’s Murder Mystery Company (Baltimore Troupe); and freelances as a medieval/Renaissance singer.
