Get to know Greer Thomison
Greer has a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Florida. Principal teachers are Edward Troupin, Professor Emeritus, University of Florida and Lev Gurevich, former concertmaster Florida Symphony.
Teaching:
Private studio lessons are designed to provide high quality technical and musical training. Her teaching includes a variety of repertoire, methods and technical studies based on the student’s needs and goals. Specific instruction for orchestral playing is of value to students wanting to improve and excel in school and youth orchestras. Studying solo pieces from different musical periods and genres enhances appreciation and also enables students to become more confident in performances and auditions.
Performance:
Orchestral, ensemble and solo; genres include classical, pops, folk, contemporary popular music, film, broadway and musical theater.
Member GMEA, NAfME and MTNA. Former member Atlanta Federation of Music, Nashville Musicians Association and Central Florida Musicians Association
