About Matt King

Matt King is a guitar and bass teacher who works with beginner to advanced students, creating flexible and engaging lessons centered around each student’s musical interests and goals. He teaches a wide range of styles while incorporating music theory, songwriting, improvisation, sheet music reading, chord charts, and tablature to help students become confident, well-rounded musicians. Matt believes students learn best when they are excited about the music they are playing, and he builds lessons that keep students motivated both in and outside the lesson room. Whether students want to perform, write music, or simply enjoy playing, Matt helps them grow while having fun with the process. Matt has been teaching since 2019 and performing professionally throughout the tri-state area since 2018.
