About Matthew Temple

Born in Austin Texas Matthew grew up in a musical family who had him learning music and performing live at the age of 8 in the Austin music scene. At age 10 he shook Stevie Ray Vaughns hand

and decided that he was going to be a musician, mainly playing the alto saxophone and flute he dove deeply into jazz music and performed with the Texas All State Jazz Band playing Sax.

In college he studied with the famous classical saxophonist Harvey Pittel and

during the summers worked as a stage musician for Fiesta Texas and Royal Caribbean

Cruise Lines all while teaching up to 50 students privately. After college it was time to hit

the road, for 10 years he traveled the world playing all genres of music including

 Tejano, Heavy Metal, Country and Blues music. Matthew still keeps a full load of students

while keeping his busy gigging schedule in Austin and also plays almost every Sunday

at Austin Ridge Church
