About Michael D'Amato

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and teaching music for the past 20. I took

private lessons before formally studying Classical guitar at Nassau Community college.

For 15 years I was one of the main teachers at Monster Music in Levittown before

transitioning to Music and Arts in 2018. I am trained in classical, rock, fingerstyle jazz and flamenco guitar.

My teaching style has a strong focus on reading, finger exercises, chords and chord progressions. 

I help prepare students for all levels of NYSSMA in both classical and jazz as well as

playing in school musicals, jazz band, and college auditions.

I currently teach at our Lindenhurst and Patchogue locations.
