About Mick Sagar

My name is Mick Sagar, and I've been playing guitar since 2007. I first started my musical journey in the school band as a percussionist in the 6th and 7th grades, and by freshman year of high school I was helping teach my fellow classmates in a beginner's guitar course. After high school, I spent 5 weeks in Boston's Berklee College of Music for a summer program where I was introduced to tons of new musicians and techniques. I also played in an ensemble while I was there.

I play a ton of rock and blues, but my passion lies in all things heavy metal. All the way from Metallica and Pantera, to Lamb of God and Cannibal Corpse. I like to take a more casual approach to learning, and make sure that you're able to have fun with the guitar while you learn.

I still like to play around with drums and the key board from time to time. If I'm not teaching or playing, you can find me playing video games, or doing astrophotography late at night.

I'm excited to teach, and help you along your own musical journey!
