About Milton Taylor

Milton Taylor was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He became interested in music at the age of ten after playing the piano while attending elementary school. He later studied music at the Edna Manley School of the Visual and Performing Arts, where he studied with jazz pianist Jill Gibson. Milton has been a concert pianist and accompanist for several years and holds a bachelor’s degree in jazz and popular music studies. Milton taught at several high schools in Jamaica, where he coached school choirs and bands to gold medals in the Jamaica school festival competition. Throughout his 25-year teaching career, many of his students successfully passed the ABRSM piano exams. Milton now resides in Philadelphia and joined the Music & Arts faculty in Ardmore in 2022.
