Teaching Philosophy: My goal as a teacher is to help my students discover the joy that comes from making music and playing the flute. I hope to teach my students that music is fun, challenging, and rewarding. During lessons we will learn how to create a beautiful sound by focusing on fundamentals (tone, technique, expression, theory, etc.). Then we will learn how to apply the fundamentals to solo and ensemble repertoire. Additionally, we will discuss performance techniques and strategies for effective practice.

Hello! My name is Molly, and I love to play the flute. I started playing the flute when I joined band at school in 5th grade. I had so much fun playing the flute in band throughout middle and high school that I decided I wanted to keep participating in music for the rest of my life! Currently, I am studying Flute Performance & Music Learning and Teaching at Arizona State University. I welcome every opportunity I get to teach or perform, and I hope that the years ahead are full of musical experiences.
