Get to know Myra Stewart

Myra Stewart received her Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in Violin Performance from the Ohio State University in 2024. She is a classically-trained violinist who also enjoys contemporary music, stemming from her time in the Contemporary Youth Orchestra in Cleveland.

At Ohio State, she expanded her repertoire by playing in the Symphony Orchestra and various string trios and quartets. Through an Ohio State study abroad trip to Austria, she learned firsthand about classical music history and a vibrant music culture.

Myra joined the American String Teachers Association while at Ohio State, allowing her to meet other professionals and teach lessons in the area. She currently works as a freelance violinist, educating and performing in the Northeast Ohio area.
