About Naiki Takeshi

Hello! My name is Naiki Takeshi..
   
    I am a working musician with a passion for teaching and the music industry, I began teaching music in 2016 and I experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults. For about 18 years of my life I have studied and performed music, I have been a composer for 10 years, and I have been a music producer for 6 years. My primary instrument is the guitar, I have experience playing both electric and acoustic guitars as well as 7-string and 8-string guitars. In addition to the guitar I teach bass guitar, voice, ukulele, and keyboards including piano, synthesizer, and organ. During my time working as a musician I have written, recorded, and produced music using all of these instruments except for ukulele, and I also have experience studying the drums, however most of this was gained while composing and producing music using drum programming software.

    As a teacher I would be happy to work with students who are interested in studying any of these instruments, and I can teach several genres of music such as Pop, Rock, Metal, Electronic, Blues, Funk, and Classical. Also, to help students develop and grow their knowledge I can teach about different ways of approaching music such as playing songs and compositions as written using sheet music or tablature, understanding key, modes, and chord theory, improvising, and using Pro Audio equipment and computer software. It would be my pleasure to help any student who would like to study with me.
