About Nancy Allen
Get to know Nancy Allen
I grew up in Independence, Missouri (just east of Kansas City). I was born playing percussion, playing rhythms on anything I could find with my fingers. I started piano lessons in 2nd grade and continued until 10th grade. I started taking percussion lessons in 7th grade and continued on to get a Bachelor degree in Percussion Performance from University of Missouri-Kansas City. I gained an interest in the pipe organ in my late teens and studied organ while earning my Bachelor degree. In 1978 I took my first church music director position, which has continued to the present. In 1982 I moved to Richmond, VA to continue my church music/organ studies. I have taught music in various schools and played piano for various organizations. I begin studies on piano tuning and technology in the early 2000's and now own Rehoboth Piano Services, serving the Richmond/Tri Cities area in piano tuning, repairs, and regulation. My favorite things in life are music, animals, books, and nature.
