About Neil Winkler

Neil Winkler is a brass teacher who works with students of all levels on trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone horn, euphonium, and tuba. His lessons focus on building strong fundamentals through structured warm-ups, scales, lip slurs, tone development, and method book studies while helping students develop the skills and confidence to tackle any musical challenge. Neil teaches a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, contemporary music, improvisation, and music theory concepts such as scales and modes. He believes consistent practice, positive reinforcement, and breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps are the keys to long-term success. Neil holds a degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey, has pursued graduate studies in Music Performance, and has been teaching students of all ages since 2006.
