About Neil Winkler

I started my musical journey in the 4th grade on trumpet, the instrument that looked the coolest to me at the time. (I still think it is!) After playing in band and taking music lessons all throughout middle and high school, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey in 2008. I began teaching private music lessons in 2006 while attending college, and have continued to teach to brass students of all ages for over 15 years. I believe that anyone can achieve anything they want as long as they have the willpower and drive to succeed.

In addition to teaching, I currently enjoy playing in The Eastern Wind Symphony, an active community wind ensemble consisting of dedicated and hard working musicians from NJ. Aside from teaching and playing music, I work in the technology department at Lakewood Public Schools. Outside of work, I enjoy camping, going to the beach, and spending time with my wife and dog.
