About Nerissa Wolfson

Nerissa Wolfson is a graduate of the Temple University Boyer College of Music with a Bachelors degree in jazz voice, performance. Nerissa has performed and taught throughout the greater Philadelphia area. She recently released her jazz debut album "Everything Starts Now" and is currently a vocalist at The John Colianni Big Band. Nerissa began entering vocal competitions at the age of six in her native country of the Philippines and was soon traveling across the country to participate in radio and television performances. Since high school, Nerissa has performed in countries across the globe including the Sultanate of Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the Philippines and the United States. Her love of singing has given her the privilege to sing many different genres of music including jazz, indie folk/rock, americana/singer song writer, blues, pop, rock, opera in Italian, French, German and English. As well as Portuguese, Tagalog and Bicol, her native language.She is excited to join the faculty of Music and Arts, teaching students of all ages and providing each students a well rounded music experience in all music genre from singing to playing basic piano, guitar and ukulele. Her goals for her students is to provide a strong music foundation combined with proper technique and helping students reach their full potential through music.
