About Nick Roels
Get to know Nick Roels
Nick Roels is a professional musician and private lesson teacher with over 15 years of performing experience and 10+ years of teaching experience. Growing up in the suburbs just outside of Seattle, Washington, Roels started learning guitar at the age of 4 and slowly would learn over 10 instruments over the next few years including piano, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, bass, and his personal favorite, drums. After many years in the Washington All-State bands and traveling throughout Europe with the Washington Ambassadors of Music, Roels chose to go to Gonzaga University for two years to pursue a degree in Music Composition, and then would transfer in 2017 to the University of North Texas, where he would earn a degree in Jazz Studies in May of 2020. Since graduating, Roels has taught hundreds of students in the DFW Metroplex. He continues to stay busy by playing in the Motown cover band Memphis Soul and managing his own Indie Pop project, Dogs For Senate. Roels moved to Nashville in April of 2025 and continues to pursue performing and teaching full-time.
