About Paul Davis

Paul is a prime example of what music lessons can do for a student. Beginning his musical journey at the Music and Arts located in Burien (Mills Music back then) he started taking private lessons as soon as he started band class in 5th grade. Private instruction gave him the opportunity to learn quickly and excel amongst his peers, in turn giving him the confidence and passion to pursue music in and out of school. He was able to be a leader in his school's marching, symphonic and jazz bands as well as start his own bands outside of school. After high school at John F. Kennedy in Burien he went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Percussion Performance at Washington State University. Since graduating Paul has performed in many bands that have toured domestically and internationally, several of which have released music that has been featured on local radio stations such as KEXP, KISW and 107.7 The End. Now Paul has the opportunity to give back to his hometown community at the Music and Arts in Burien. Paul brings his 20+ years of experience to every lesson, from young beginners to seasoned veterans; his teaching style allows for students to gain knowledge and techniques that grow their abilities in a fun environment. Percussion is his primary expertise but he teaches guitar and piano as well! You can find him teaching on Wednesdays.
