      Get to know Peter Princiotto

      Peter Princiotto has been a music teacher based in Northern Virginia for over four decades. In 2020, Peter began teaching part-time at Music & Arts Center in McLean, VA. Peter attended New England Conservatory where he studied jazz/bass and composition; George Mason University where he studied music theory and composition; and Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute where he earned a Master of Music in Composition and studied classical guitar, piano, and voice.

      Over the decades, Peter has primarily taught bass guitar, piano, guitar, music theory, composition, and songwriting; and has directed ensembles in various genres including classical, folk, blues, jazz, rock, and pop. Peter has also taught music at Northern Virginia Community College, The Madeira School, National Guitar Workshop, and The Newton School. Peter has taught several thousand music students through the years and some have pursued professional careers in music.
