Ray started studying piano at the age of 13 in NJ and began playing in a wide range of musical opportunities from piano bars to rock bands. Ray studied piano under Joe Dejohn a well known pianist that played with many artists from Elvis Presley to Charlie Parker to Billy Holiday.
