About Rebekka Panayiotou
Get to know Rebekka Panayiotou
Rebekka Panayiotou holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Stetson University, where she studied with Routa Kroumovitch. During her time at Stetson, she was awarded the Stetson Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Grant, a program that fosters excellence in research and creative activity, which enabled her to study classical violin in Italy over summers 2010 and 2011. She continued her graduate music studies at the University of Oklahoma in Norman OK, where she established her own music studio.
Rebekka is proficient in a range of musical styles, from orchestral and chamber music to blues improvisation and fiddle. She has performed throughout the central Florida area and the Oklahoma City Metro area. Ms. Panayiotou has held the position of Concertmaster of the OU Civic Orchestra, Concertmaster of the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony, and Principal Second Violin of the Oklahoma Baptist University Orchestra. She performed as a member of Open Prairie String Band and the Mariachi Orgullo de America.
As an instructor, Rebekka has taught private lessons to all ages and learning styles. She is certified in Mark O’Connor’s New American String Method and seeks to provide her students with a variety of options in their musical journey. With over 14 years of teaching experience, Rebekka is passionate about helping foster a love for music in her students
