      Get to know Reena Young

      Reena is passionate about teaching and enjoys working with students of all ages.  She is a woodwind specialist, and her principal instrument is clarinet. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from Eastern Michigan University in 2006 and 2012 respectively. She has over 15 years of public school experience teaching band and orchestra in Michigan, Mississippi, and Maryland where she currently resides. Currently, she is an instrumental music teacher at an elementary school in Prince George’s County.  Reena has worked with private lessons students on Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, and Saxophone throughout her career. When she is not teaching, she enjoys performing clarinet with area community bands and spending time with family.
