Get to know Rees Richardson
Rees Richardson, is a respected local trumpet player who focuses mainly on
orchestral playing, recitals and church music though he is quite capable of
working in all venues. He has studied
Music Education and Trumpet Performance at Morehead State University, Duquesne
University, Mannheim University and the Conservatory National Superior for
Music and Dance in Paris. Among the teachers Rees has studied with are Thomas
Koneski, Edwin Shiner, Jack Stettler, Paul Taylor, Adolph Scherbaum, Adolph
Herseth and Maurice Andre.
In addition to over 20 years as a trumpet player
with the United States Army Rees has performed with numerous symphony
orchestras throughout the Eastern United States and in Europe both in the
trumpet sections and as a soloist. He
enjoys private teaching and has over 50 years experience. He also enjoys giving recitals and master
classes whenever the opportunity arises.
