About Richard Adams

Richard Adams
Richard Adams
Music Teacher, Master
Location: Bowling Green, KY
Speaks: English
Instructs: Guitar
Education: I received my Bachelor's degree in Music from Western Kentucky University in 2021.
Performance Experience: I performed in WKU's guitar ensemble every semester I attended. Here, I also performed in guitar duo and trio settings and played guitar and bass in Western's Jazz band. I have also played guitar and bass in multiple blues, hard rock, and metal bands around Kentucky and Tennessee.
Teaching Experience: I have taught private guitar and bass lessons for 7 years, working with students on various different styles of playing on the instrument from a complete beginner experience level up to a more advanced intermediate stage.
Teaching Philosophy: I'm a firm believer in ensuring that each individual student is able to see a clear path from the beginning to making the music that they enjoy by engaging with their musical interests early and building from there on what excites them in particular about playing. Even in the earliest stages, I feel that it's important for the student to see where the foundational work is leading them.
