      Get to know Rob Portnoy

      As a Multi-Instrumentalist, Grammy Nominated Artist, Rob has worked with Superstar names such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis Jr., Mel Torme, Aretha Franklin, Wayne Newton, Nancy Wilson, Don Sebasky, Mickey Rooney, Red Skelton, Debbie Reynolds, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Liza Minnelli, Tony Bennett, Johnny Mathis, Natalie Cole, Sarah Vaughn as well as many, many more legends. Rob has played in a multitude of Broadway Musicals, performed on oodles of Television Shows in the orchestras of Merv Griffin & Tom Scott in hundreds of venues including Carnegie Hall in the Don Sebesky Orchestra, The Kimmel Center, Phila. Academy of Music, Atlantic City Ballet, all Atlantic City Casino Theaters and presently plays with the O.C. Pop’s and in the Brookdale Jazz Orchestra.He has toured Internationally with Manny Album, Steve Lippia, Steve & Eydie, Frank Sinatra Jr. and others. His world-class resume also includes studies at, Hart College of Music, Philadelphia Musical Academy, University of Michigan, as well as private study on Saxophone w/ Eddie Daniels & Donald Sinta. Clarinet w/Anthony Giggliotti, Anthony Ciccarelli & Harold Karabell. Flute w/ Harold Bennett & Michael Parloff and Piccolo w/ John Krell .In addition to playing, Rob has many private students, is on staff teaching woodwinds at Holy Spirit High School and Stockton University!
