      Performance Experience: For over two decades, Roland has shared his music with audiences from Liberia and West Africa, to North Carolina, New Orleans, and across the great state of Texas. When not performing solo on the piano or guitar, he leads his 12-piece band, or can be found teaching in the studio.       Teaching Experience: Roland is a dedicated Bass, Guitar, Piano, and Voice instructor with over 18 years of international experience. His simplified, results-focused approach helps students play songs or sing confidently within 90–120 days. With customized lessons and a vocal method rooted in Bel Canto/Speech Level Singing, he builds technique, expression, and confidence. Lessons with Roland are effective, encouraging, and fun!
      Teaching Philosophy: Roland believes music is the universal language of the soul and that everyone carries their own song within. His teaching focuses on guiding and encouraging students so they feel safe, inspired, and excited to learn their instrument. With positive instruction, creative corrections, and kind support, he keeps learning fun, because music is meant to be enjoyed!

      Critically acclaimed Reggae artist, Roland Kemokai is a performing singer, songwriter, composer, guitarist, pianist, bassist, producer, published author, and mentor to many!

      Most notably, frontman/lead singer for the 12-year established premier roots reggae band, NECHERU (formerly known as Roland & The Roots Riddim).

      Born in Liberia, West Africa, Roland Kemokai survived a harrowing beginning—abandoned as an infant, growing up around deep struggle amidst the Liberian civil war, he relied on extraordinary resilience, inner strength, and the healing power of music to endure and rise above his circumstances.

      Shaped by these life experiences, Roland creates music centered on empowerment, social justice, release and renewal, community connection, positive mindset, and the untapped greatness within each of us. He has written, composed, and released numerous pieces, including full albums and singles, all available on major streaming platforms under his name.
