About Ron Evans

Hello! My name is Ron Evans. I am a private instrument teacher of brass instruments and a freelance musician. My main instrument is the trombone. Recently, I retired after a 37 year career as a band director at the elementary and middle school levels. I was blessed to have met and worked with several thousand students. Along the way, we were able to quadruple the size of the elementary band program. One of my favorite memories was having my students do an annual performance at professional sporting events such as performing The Star Spangled Banner at a Phillies game. Over the years, I received a few citations including multiple “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers”. Currently, I perform with Basilica Brass, New Holland Band, NH Swing Band, Chesco Pops and the Pennsylvania Symphonic Winds. My hobbies include biking, hiking, astronomy, and travel. I have been married to my wife Karen for 27 years. We have one son and live in Downingtown.
