Performance Experience: Formerly Bass Trombonist with the Cosmopolitan Symphony Orchestra (1970-82) with performances at Avery Fischer Hall. Other free lance performances have been in Opera, Chamber Music, Concert Band Broadway Shows and with Jazz Orchestra and Big Bands. A founding member of the Celebrations Brass quintet and a performer most recently with the LPJO Jazz Orchestra.
Teaching Experience: !987- 98William Floyd School District 6th gr Instrumental Music, Middle School 7-9 Instrumental Music. 1998-2017 South Huntington School District Instrumental Music Middle School 7-8, 6th gr Center Instrumental Music, Adjunct Professor of Trombone at Long Island University C W Post Campus 2004-present. Director of Brass Studies 2009- present
Teaching Philosophy: With over 30 years of teaching experience in the public schools in grades 4-12 I have been fortunate to have been with instrumental music education. I know quite well the rewards and enrichment that can be gained in the study and performance of an instrument and I teach my students with this thought in mind and help them to achieve their goals in their musical studies.
