Performance Experience:
Ronnie Cruz is a multi-instrumentalist with a broad performance across Woodwinds, Brass, Piano, and Orchestral Strings. Ronnie has played Flute for 7 years and continues to perform in ensembles and solo playing. Ronnie also has experience in all types of Saxophone in both classical and jazz pedagogies. In addition, Ronnie has experience in Clarinet, Horn, Trumpet, Piano, Violin, Bassoon, and many instruments each with several years of studying and performance.
Teaching Experience:
Ronnie Cruz has taught in settings of young students in preparation for Region Band and Solo & Ensemble competitions. Ronnie also has experience in teaching in group settings teaching expectations and music for the University of the Incarnate Word's Ensembles Flute and Clarinet Sections. Ronnie teaches master classes for Piccolo and Flute for aspiring musicians and other music educator's classrooms in developing knowledge in both the Piccolo and Flute
Teaching Philosophy:
Ronnie Cruz believes that learning is not just obtaining knowledge and soaking in all the facts in each lesson session. It's about finding your identity and the motivation to participate. Which is to try your best and view "mistakes" as opportunities to grow
