About Roy Richardson

Roy is an accomplished musician and educator with an impressive range of experience. From 2022 to 2023, he taught a variety of musical instruments, including flute, saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, piano, drums, violin, guitar, and bass guitar, to students from elementary to high school levels.

Prior to that, Roy was the CEO and President of the Board of Thomas Grice Academy of Music from 2013 to 2018. He owned and operated this NJ non-profit music school, managing its business affairs, including board meetings and accounting. During his tenure, he also supervised a small staff of music teachers and taught instrumental music to both adults and children in the greater Trenton, NJ area.

Roy's passion for music and teaching is evident not only in his hands-on work with students but also in his ongoing pursuit of education. He is currently working towards an associate's degree in music at Mercer County Community College.

His leadership at Thomas Grice Academy allowed him to organize performance opportunities for students as they grew in proficiency, and his strong communication skills helped him engage with parents to support their children's musical development. Roy's broad experience and commitment to music education make him a standout figure in his field.
