About Ryan Kuhns

Ryan Kuhns is a bass, piano, and music theory teacher who works with students of all ages and experience levels in a supportive and engaging environment. He teaches beginner through advanced upright and electric bass, beginner to intermediate piano, and advanced music theory while tailoring lessons to each student’s goals, interests, and learning style. Ryan incorporates all musical genres including jazz, classical, rock, pop, funk, blues, folk, and country, helping students build technique through fun and meaningful repertoire. His lessons also include composition, improvisation, ear training, reading music, and performance preparation for auditions, recitals, and school ensembles. Ryan holds degrees from the University of the Arts and Manhattan School of Music and has over 20 years of teaching experience along with extensive professional performance credits.
