      Get to know Ryan Parker

Ryan can teach trombone, trumpet, euphonium, tuba, piano, drums, vocals, guitar, bass, producing, composing and arranging. His lessons are all about good posture, proper warmup routines, fundamental routines, listening exercises, learning how to read music and sight reading.

He has been singing since age 4. He picked up piano and started playing drums for church at age 9. Started playing percussion a year later but quickly switched to trombone by age 11 because he found that it was more challenging.

He has played with Tanya Darby, Cynthia Scott, Danilo Perez, Jose Aponte, Lynn Seaton, Quincy Davis, Tony Baker, Steve Wiest and many other noteworthy musicians. He has opened for The Temptations, Vanilla Ice and Joe Walsh (of The Eagles). He has performed for celebrities, charity fundraisers, weddings, celebrations and festivals. Ryan’s favorite style of music is Jazz, particularly Funk and Fusion. His favorite artists are Robert Glasper, Stefon Harris, Pat Metheny, Micheal Brecker, Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis and JJ Johnson.
