About Sandra Vazquez Hernandez

Sandra was born in 1962 in Manhattan, New York. When she was five years old she moved to Puerto Rico. She began her piano studies at ten years old with Josefina Pena De Luna in preparation of entering the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. She graudated from the Conservatory with a Bachelor's in Music with a concentraion in Piano, and a minor in Education. Later she went on to obtain a Master's in art of Education Administration and Supervision at the University of Phoenix. 

Sandra has been a part of many concerts throughout PR as a soloist and accompanist. Some of those concerts were even broadcasted on radio and tv stations.  Sandra has also taken part in master classes with professors like Blanca Uribe, Jesus Maria Sanroma, and Pual Posnack from Julliard. 

She has over 20 years of experience as a piano teacher and private lesson instructor. Sandra has also taught for the Department of Education for grades K-12 as a music teacher. In Puerto Rico she was even a principal for a few years.
