About Sasha Hammer
Sasha Hammer
Music Teacher, Expert
Location: Marlton, NJ
Speaks: English
Instructs: Bass Guitar, Drums, Guitar, Music Theory, String Bass
Education: My teachers were the various stages and venues across both Houston and DFW areas. I took classes at University of Texas at Arlington for Music Education, but did not complete my degree due to complications from COVID.
Performance Experience: 8+ years of playing music in Texas playing every instrument in a rock cover band and just as long playing guitar for my own projects with my friends.
Teaching Experience: I taught Guitar, Bass, and Drums for almost 5 years in the DFW area, with an emphasis on rock and metal music. I coached groups with as many as 18 kids to play music of all popular styles and decades, from 50's Rock and Roll to 2000's Pop Punk; from 70's Funk to 80's Thrash Metal.
Teaching Philosophy: I teach musical ideas and techniques through learning songs and musical exercises. I also teach music theory through improvisation so that the student can learn to make their own music or be able to play with anyone.
