      Teaching Philosophy: To create lifelong musicians, utilizing available tools and techniques to allow students to achieve their personal goals on the instrument.

      Get to know Scott Grande

      Scott has been teaching and performing in the Philadelphia area for 30+ years and began giving lessons while still in college in Boston. He has experience working with students from 'day one' of their studies through successful college music school auditions and has assisted numerous students with their school jazz band and honors band auditions. Scott's teaching emphasizes a balance of reading, technical studies, improvisation for drum set, and both rudimental and classical techniques for snare drum. He has also assisted performing drummers with reading and studies who did not have an educational background. Scott is influenced by, has performed, and teaches a wide variety of musical styles. Classical and rudimental snare drum, jazz, all electronic dance music and various other genres as well. Scott also has a performance background in all of these styles.
