About Sharon Hudak
Get to know Sharon Hudak
Sharon Hudak teaches all students of any age and ambition to
fall in love with music making – for life! She has taught piano, flute and voice lessons for over twenty years and still enthusiastically learns something new every day from her students and through professional development. Ms. Sharon was an active amateur musician
for many years before completing her formal music education with a master’s degree
specializing in music pedagogy (individual teaching). As such, she can relate
to those who may be struggling or who have struggled in the past and need
detailed analysis to break through any issues. Since moving to North Texas in
2001 besides being an instructor, Sharon has been a free-lance, orchestral, and
liturgical flutist. She has also served
as a UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest and church children’s choir piano
accompanist. She and her students have won multiple awards from the Texas Flute
Society, Texas Music Teachers Association, Plano Music Teachers Association,
and Texas UIL. Her instructors include Dr. Pamela Youngblood and Dr. Terri
Sanchez: noted flute pedagogues. While originally classically and liturgically
trained, Ms. Sharon enjoys teaching and learning music from many different cultures
and styles including Latin, pop, movie and theater, and some jazz. She is
always excited to help her students learn and explore music of any ethnicity.
