Get to know Shawn Smith
Shawn Smith is a saxophonist from McKinney, TX and has been playing saxophone for almost 15 years. He attended Prairie View A&M University and received his Bachelors in music education. He has frequently traveled to Washington D.C and New York as a member of the recreation band for the military unit The 369th Infantry Regiment, "The Harlem Hellfighters". He has worked as a studio musician, audio engineer, and music composer on the digital music software Luxury Sound Music Group based in Garland, Texas. He has been a teacher of music for the past 2 years for all levels. His educational philosophy is to teach students to how music helps the world grow and how it can help themselves grow.
