About Shua Lopez

Shua Lopez studied violin performance at the University of Colorado. While classically trained, they have endeavored the develop stylings on the instrument tailored to more modern music. After graduating in 2021, the moved to Wyoming where they dedicated time to deep independent study, designing methods for a violinist to thrive in any musical environment. There methods include effective chart reading, alternative tunings, creating interesting riffs, and singing while playing. Mx. Lopez has an open heart for all styles of artistic expression and encourages their students to being forth any pieces, songs, or techniques they wish to learn. As a firm believer in custom curriculum, Mx. Lopez is happy to blend all of the necessary tenets of effective playing with music that students are passionate about. Whether your goal is to become a performer in an orchestral setting, fiddle in a bluegrass band, or write and play your own music as a solo artist, Mx. Lopez is always willing to listen and give you the best instruction that aligns with your musical aspirations and personal passion!
