About Stefan Parrott

Stefan Parrott is a cello, piano, and guitar teacher who works with beginner to advanced students, helping them build strong technical foundations and a deeper understanding of music. His lessons combine warm-ups, repertoire study, music theory, and analytical thinking, encouraging students to explore the structure and meaning behind the music they play. Stefan specializes in classical piano and cello and fingerstyle guitar, while drawing from a wide range of musical styles and compositional techniques to support each student’s growth. He believes that strong fundamentals and musical understanding lead to lasting success and confidence. Stefan holds a B.A. in Music Composition from Goucher College, has taught at Music & Arts since 2021, and performs as a cellist with the Lower Merion Symphony Orchestra.
