Teaching Experience: I have taught private lessons in both music theory as well as music performance for two years.
Teaching Philosophy: The best teachers I ever had taught me more than just what I needed to get by, but inspired a deep interest in their subjects by pushing self-discovery and hands on engagement. Not only does this encourage more productive and enjoyable learning, but it also creates a lifelong appreciation for any field. I strive to maintain the same outlook in my teaching.
Get to know Stefan Parrott
I am an avid music enthusiast who has been studying music for practically my whole life. I began to play piano when I was seven years old and picked up cello and guitar not long after. Along with playing several instruments, I am also a composer and songwriter who enjoys the behind the scenes processes of music making. I studied music at Goucher College, where I graduated in 2020 with Honors in Music.
