About Stephen Parezo

Steve Parezo teaches beginner to advanced snare drum, acoustic and electronic drum sets, and orchestral percussion. His structured, practical lessons develop sticking techniques, drum rudiments, chart reading, stick control, and playing along with recordings. Steve teaches rock, pop, funk, jazz, blues, Latin, and country styles while emphasizing consistent practice and strong fundamentals. He helps students prepare for recitals, auditions, school programs, and playing confidently with bands. Steve studied percussion with Peabody Conservatory alumnus Douglas Day, has decades of individualized drum teaching experience, toured professionally with Country Music Hall of Fame singer-songwriter Jim Owen, and was inducted into the Maryland Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2016.
