About Stephen Perry

Stephen Perry is a brass teacher who works with beginner to advanced students on trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, and tuba. His lessons combine structured skill development with engaging, enjoyable music-making, helping students build strong fundamentals while exploring new repertoire and musical ideas. Stephen’s teaching is rooted in classical training, including orchestral and band music, while also incorporating jazz and music theory to develop well-rounded musicians. He believes that music is most meaningful when played with passion and personal expression, and he encourages students to celebrate their growth at every stage. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, marching performances, or returning to an instrument after time away, students receive thoughtful and supportive guidance. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Music from The College of New Jersey, teaches instrumental music at Belleville Middle School, and marched with The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps.
