About Stephenie Santilli
Get to know Stephenie Santilli
I have been singing and involved with music in Charlotte since I was a kid. While in middle and high school at Northwest School of the Arts, I sang with the Charlotte Choir School, was a member of VOX, attended multiple choral festivals, performed multiple masterworks such as Handel's Messiah and Mendelssohn's Elijah with the Charlotte Symphony Chorus, and was an active participant of Royal School of Church Music in America (RSCMA) training courses. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music from Wingate University, and I graduated in May of 2021. After graduating, I found myself right back in the Charlotte music scene. I currently perform with the Charlotte Symphony Chorus, Charlotte Chamber Choir, and Caritas. My musical mentors include Ben Outen, Aaron Goen, Stephanie Madsen, Dr. Monica Hunter, Aaron Lafrienere, and David Tang. When not teaching, I can be found listening to live music or playing games with my family and cats.
In my lessons, students of all ages will learn the basic foundations of music while also learning music that the student wants to work on. While we will have lesson books, I also like to consistently work on supplemental music that my student actually enjoys! I know not every person coming into my studio has a goal of becoming a professional musician, so I make sure to make our time together as musically enriching and fun as possible!
