      Education: Graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston with a diploma in Film Scoring and Guitar Performance. Private Studies with Dennis Sandole, Joe Federico, Tal Farlow and Harry Leahey.
      Performance Experience: Stu’s band Halfway to Gone has performed Nationally. He has also played guitar for Bill Haley's Comets, The Dovelles, The Stylistics and various Musical productions.
      Teaching Experience: Stu is an accomplished teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience.
      Teaching Philosophy: To create lifelong musicians

      Get to know Stu Gollin

      Stu grew up in New Jersey and was amongst the first Suzuki Piano students in the U.S. He started playing guitar in 1978 and began teaching guitar in 1982. He studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music and composition with Dennis Sandole. Stu played as a sideman with Bill Haley's Comets, The Dovelles, The Stylistics, Solarized, and Gallery of Mites. He co-founded Halfway To Gone in 2000 and A Thousand Knives of Fire in 2004, both of which had songs appearing on television, in motion pictures, commercials and video games. In his 40 years of teaching, Stu has had many students go forward with their own performance and educating careers.
