About Sylvia Studer-Woodard

Sylvia Studer-Woodard began her piano studies at the age of seven and is classically trained. She has been teaching piano since 2001, originally at The Music Nook, which is now known as Music & Arts. Over the years, she has worked with several organizations, including the Music Teachers Collaborative, and briefly paused teaching during the COVID pandemic.

In addition to teaching, Sylvia enjoys performing background music for private events and, more recently, has found joy in sharing music with residents at assisted living and memory care facilities. Her teaching philosophy centers on building a solid foundation in music fundamentals, empowering students to play the music they love. She is thrilled to be a part of the Music & Arts community once again!
