About Teresa McGayhey

Teresa began playing the violin at age 10, and began to play viola in high school. She has performed in many ensembles. She has performed with many orchestras, pit ensembles, small group ensembles and bands. She enjoys playing many styles of music.

Her viola instructor encouraged her to get a degree in music and education. Teresa enjoys teaching students about music. After college, she taught at a small school for students with special needs. In addition to teaching Music and directing the chorus, she also taught piano and violin lessons. She then went to teach at a larger school.

Teresa is an incredibly passionate instructor who works well with students of all ages and experience levels. She loves to help music come alive for them.

Teresa works well with students of all ages and experience levels in both violin and viola.
