About Teresa McGayhey

Teresa McGayhey is a violin, viola, and cello teacher who works with beginner to advanced students in a patient and encouraging environment. She tailors lessons to each student’s experience level, helping beginners build strong foundations while guiding experienced players toward new musical goals. Lessons focus on developing technique, rhythm, intonation, bowing styles, and articulation while exploring a variety of musical styles that keep students engaged and excited to play. Teresa believes students learn best at their own pace and works closely with them each week to support steady growth and confidence. Teresa is an elementary music teacher, directs two orchestras, and holds New Jersey certifications in Music and Students with Disabilities.
