About Thanasit Pimnipapatrakul

Thanasit Pimnipapatrakul is a professional trombonist and music educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. He specializes in trombone and low brass instruction, helping students develop strong fundamentals, healthy tone production, and confident musicianship. His teaching is informed by extensive performance experience with ensembles such as the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera, Tucson Pops, Akron Symphony Orchestra, and True Concord Voices & Orchestra, as well as appearances at the Aspen Music Festival and Spoleto Festival USA. He works with students preparing for school ensembles, honor bands, festivals, and college auditions, with an emphasis on effective practice habits and long-term musical growth.

In addition to brass instruction, Thanasit has played piano since the age of three and teaches piano at the beginner to intermediate level. His piano lessons focus on foundational technique, music reading, and overall musicianship, providing students with a strong and supportive introduction to the instrument. Whether working with trombone or piano students, Thanasit creates a structured yet encouraging learning environment that helps each student build confidence and enjoy the process of making music.
