About Timothy Nixon

TJ Nixon is a PG county native where he has studied the violin for 20 years.  He graduated from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Music with an emphasis in composition.  During his matriculation through Morehouse, TJ has picked up the viola and piano, as well as performed at events like UNCF: An Evening of Stars and VH1 Save the Music Foundation.
 
Currently he is teaching general music at an elementary school, as well as teaching private violin and viola lessons at Music & Arts.  TJ is ready to work with individuals of all ages teaching from books like Essential Elements and Strings Basics for violin, moving to Suzuki books, and helping students learn their favorite songs from artists, movies, and tv shows.
