Get to know Tom Quartulli
Tom Quartulli is a seasoned professional saxophonist with over 30 years of experience performing throughout New England, across the United States, and in more than 40 countries worldwide. His dynamic career has included touring and recording with a wide range of bands across genres such as rock and roll, blues, punk, jazz, ska, reggae, and rockabilly.
Tom has had the honor of performing with legendary acts including The Sonics, The Robins, and Billy Lee Riley, and has made guest appearances with groups like the Dropkick Murphys. He currently tours and records with the Grammy-nominated group Barrence Whitfield and the Savages, who have been featured on BBC Two’s Later... with Jools Holland.
A Worcester native, Tom began private saxophone lessons at a young age with Ken Sawyer, a student of renowned Milford saxophonist Boots Mussulli. He went on to earn a degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music.
For over two decades, Tom has shared his passion for music through teaching. He offers private and group instruction in saxophone, clarinet, piano, guitar, and flute. His teaching style emphasizes developing a fun and diverse repertoire, while also focusing on improvisation, sight-reading, and music theory to help students grow as confident, well-rounded musicians.
