Performance Experience: Tommy has played with some credited musicians over the years. He was also the Choir Director for the NTTC, Meridian Naval Base, for 11 years. He currently plays Keyboard/drums with different local bands. He also plays with his wife, Tammy, in their duet Slow Burn all over Mississippi.
Teaching Philosophy: Tommy has a passion for teaching others and been sharing his love of music for 33 years. He is offering Percussion, Drum set, and Keyboard lessons here at Music and Arts!
Get to know Tommy Carmichael
Tommy went to school in Crystal Springs, MS, where he started playing drums in 1967 and keyboard in 1973. Tommy has played music all his life, his father got his Master’s degree in music at Old Miss he taught Tommy Music and Music Theory. Tommy has played with some credited musicians over the years.
