      Get to know Trevor Taylor

I have been playing the drums for over thirteen years. I began on bass drum and snare for the Red Knights Bugle Corps. This was my first introduction to rudiments and reading. While participating with the organization, I also worked with local rock bands in Western Massachusetts while also studying in several ensembles provided in Taconic High School. After graduating, I enrolled in Westfield State University where I participated in Small Jazz Combo, Big Band Jazz Ensemble, Wind Symphony and Percussion Ensemble. I studied under Edward Orgill (saxophonist), Peter Coutsoridius (percussionist) and Jason Schwartz (bassist). The experience offered me exposure to many genres and most importantly, the ability to adapt and study consistently and  independently.
