About Tyler Hatter

Tyler Hatter is a Bass Trombonist from South Florida who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Tyler recently graduated with a B.M in bass trombone performance at Florida Atlantic University under the direction of Dr. Jose Leon. Tyler was the former Bass Trombonist with the Orchid City Brass Band, and was invited to perform at various music festivals; such as the Sewanee Summer Music Festival in 2024, and the Ozark Music Festival in 2025.  In addition, Tyler has performed with numerous professional groups such as Bill Muter’s “Topless in Tokyo” band, the FAU Opera Workshop, the John Parker Band, the Florida Intercollegiate Band and has won two competitions at FAU, the concerto and aria competition in 2022 and the composition competition in 2023. Tyler aspires to play in a professional orchestra, teach at the collegiate level, and to inspire the next generation of brass players.
